Line, colour, shape, size, tone, texture, equilibrium, harmony, dynamics, rhythm.
Canvas, acrylic paint, brushes; or paper, watercolour paper, paint brush.
Direct smooth technique with acrylic paint and wet-on-wet blending technique with watercolour paint.

NEIL: I did not think this one through enough before starting. Composition? Fail. But I do not feel comfortable working in this outlined-colour style.
JEN: Oddly enough, though I tend to love outlines/hard lines, I really didn't get into this one. In fact, I struggled with the first attempt to the point I sanded parts of it down and painted over the whole thing. This one was challenging, but I can't figure out what the payoff is. Next!
